Cape meet results & looking ahead to a very exciting Spirit Week!
Good morning Barracudas!
What an incredible effort Saturday against our local divisional rival, the Cape St. Claire Dolphins! Conditions were certainly not ideal, but our Barracudas still did their very best and swam a very exciting meet!! And while we did not win the overall meet, there were some very impressive accomplishments we should all be proud of!
And a BIG thank you to all of our awesome Volunteers who braved the heat and humidity, and helped make this meet possible!!!!
The results are attached, and here is summary of the meet:
- 99 swimmers
- 297 splashes
- 124 improved times
Final score: Cape St. Claire – 295, Bay Hills – 209
We had 4 new Gold meet qualifying times and 16 new Silver meet times swum! Way to go Barracudas!! This week, the Coaches will be sharing more about our post-season Championship Meets and how the selection process works. We will post current qualifiers for each meet at the pool, and explain what it all means.
We have a lot going on this week, including Spirit Week and our final dual meet (away) against the Hillsmere Hammerheads. They are in Division A, the next division up, and will be our ‘divisional challenge meet’ for the season.
Here is the schedule for Spirit Week:
- Monday – Funday Monday with Navy Water Polo (all age group practices will have a guided instructional water polo game – always a huge hit)
- Tuesday – Fun Hair Day (get creative - anything goes!)
- Wednesday – Tie Dye Day (come show off your Bay Hills tie dye item!)
- Thursday – USA Day (show your pride with the Red, White and Blue!)
- Friday – PJs and Pancakes Day (wear your pajamas and join us for breakfast after each practice)
Thanks everyone, enjoy the rest of your weekend!
