Mock Meet is Open!

Good morning Barracudas!

The Mock Meet is now open for you to declare your swimmer's intent to participate, and select the events they would like to swim.  The meet declaration page will close at 3pm on Thursday 6/6, to allow the Coaches enough time to develop and finalize the meet lineup. 

To sign your swimmer up for a meet in SwimTopia, navigate to the Team website or app, log in, and locate the meet under the Events section. Once you've located the meet, click on "Meet Entry" to select the swimmer's attendance and the events they will participate in. 
Detailed Steps:
  1. Log in to our SwimTopia website or app, and log in to your account. 
  2. Navigate to Events. 
  3. Locate the meet - Mock Meet
  4. Click "Meet Entry"
  5. Click "Edit" to declare their attendance and select events.
  6. Click "SAVE" to finalize the entries. 

A few notes about signing up for meets:

  • 6 & Unders are eligible to swim 25m Freestyle and 25m Backstroke
  • All other age groups are eligible to select a total of up to 4 events - 4 individual events OR 3 individual events + 1 relay OR 2 individual events + 2 relays. 
  • Swimmers can select to swim on a relay (or relays), but Coaches will make the final decision.
  • We always encourage swimmers to try to swim as many events as they are legally able to do.  To "swim a stroke legally" means performing a competitive swimming stroke in a manner that adheres to the specific rules and regulations of that stroke, as defined by GASL (our league governing body). This includes the start, stroke technique, turns, and finish, all of which are judged by officials. If a swimmer violates any of these rules, they may be disqualified (DQ'd) from the race.
  • Undeclared swimmers WILL NOT be entered into the meet or any events.

This meet is Home, scheduled to start at 8am and expected to finish by 10:30am.  Please plan to have your swimmer(s) there no later than 7:15am for Team stretch and warm-ups.  If you are Volunteering, please be sure to arrive timely and check-in for your role.

This meet is meant to provide an introduction to the 'meet experience', for both swimmers and parents.  There will be wrinkles and that's okay - let's give everyone a little grace.  The most important thing is that our swimmers and parents have fun!!!

Please reach out with any questions or if you experience any challenges signing up.  We have now opened up all of the remaining dual meets, so please complete your declaration for all other meets available so we can all plan accordingly.
