Good morning Barracudas!

Before we get into the results of the Harting Farms meet, just a reminder the Cape meet sign up closes today at 5pm! Please be sure to declare your swimmer's intent to attend the meet, and select their strokes. This meet is a home meet, at Bay Hills.

The meet against Harting Farms was so incredible! The energy on deck despite the high heat and humidity was awesome! The meet was so close! We lost by only 10 points!!!! Harting Farms was in Division A last year, and just moved down to our Division this year, so they are very strong and we did so well!!! Over 150 new best times, 121 new Gold & Silver Championship Meet qualifiers and 2 new records!! Congratulations to TJ Russ, who broke Noah Yanchulis' 2011 Men's 13-14 50m Backstroke record of 33.47, with a time of 33.06. And congratulations to Ellie Moran who broke the Harting Farms Women's 15-18 50m Breaststroke record! Ellie swam a 37.47 which broke the previous record of 40.24, set in 2022 by Chloe Lan. Thank you to all of our Volunteers who helped make the meet a success. Way to go Barracudas!!!

We continue to monitor the extreme heat this week, and strongly encourage parents and swimmers to take precautions! Please bring water to practices, and be sure to hydrate constantly!!!!

Don't forget about the Pancakes At Practice and Pep Rally, with poster making, this Friday! Cape is going to be another nail biter, so let's get PSYCHED UP!!!
